Frankly, I don't see what the number of SPARC maintainers has to do with the 
affair.  libstdc++-v3 maintainers ask from time to time to test in advance 
potentially controversial patches they intend to backport to stable branches 
and the turnaround time is generally a matter of days.

And SPARC is the port that features the greatest number of officially 
appointed maintainers. :-)
