Hi,
Yes you can have as many chars on alter as you wish. The only rule really
regarding that is you can't have two logged in with the same person except
for swapping things like gold, equipment, etc. If someone else in your
household wants to play another char at the same time as you, that is fine,
as long as you don't do it both chars by yourself. For more info type help
multiplaying.
-Michael.

Thanks Dark...Sorry, I thought I included that, but yes, he can see,
so I'll give him the info...Sorry, I forgot, but I'm racing through
some email so I can say I did something constructive before I spend
hours on AA...lol...Oh, and I can have more than one active chars on
AA, can't I? Incase Randy wants to play, I will start over, but I
don't want to get rid of Terulian...Be good, or any alignment you want
to...lol...:)

Hi Kimberly.
Assuming your husband has quite functional optics, there is nothing to
stop!
your husband using mushclient, since all the text is there on the screen
to,
as are the various menues, window controls etc, in that respect it is
unlike
vipmud, since mushclient itself isn't a program built for access it's just
various addons and extentions that make it so. however, he might want to
check out Alter's own custom flash client which you can find on the
website.
this isn't an accessible client like the mushpack, especially with it
being
flash, but is designed for sighted players and I believe has many handy
options for pointing and clicking, displaying stats etc, so your husband
might want to take a look at that particularly since being alter there is
ample documentation and help on it.

Hi Dark,
Interesting enough HHGG is one of the few IF games I actually
completed. At least as far as standard Infocom goes. Although, I will
admit the end of the game was pretty lame as there really wasn't a
real ending to it. All the same it took me several false starts and
tries to get through the game as the puzzles weren't always that
obvious to solve.
Still, I know what you mean by the modern IF community. Many of them
have no excuse or reason to have some of the puzzles they do, and yet
that seems to be standard fair for the genre. As you mentioned so many
times RPG elements such as stats and so forth are usually frowned upon
in IF where solving a billion complicated puzzles is standard fair.
Worse some of the big name IF authors and so on are as as unbending
about their opinions as a marble statue when it comes to modernizing
IF to be more inclusive of RPG elements and so forth. :D

Hi Tom.
That bird puzzle sounds logical enough in Arthur, but if you made it
through
Zork and hhg your a better man than I when it comes to puzzles, Zork
ust
drove me nuts!
I agree on the copywrite thing, but that's probably just a consequence
of
the games' age more than anything, irritating though it is. I far more
hate
it when you get similarly annoying puzzles in if written by hobbyist
authors
since they have no excuse for being so illogical.
Beware the grue!
Dark.
