Hi Jacob, I don't know, but it is annoying to say the least. I'd have to dig through the NVDA source code to figure out how it acquires the text on the console and figure out why it treats every character separately when typed characters is on. I'll probably contat the NVDA dev team in the next couple of days and see if they can fix this bug.
