Hi Dark, You keep asking about benefits. Does a more secure system that is less likely to be infiltrated by malware not a benefit to you? *smile*
On an aside on this business of touch screens… One nice feature of Mac OS X and VoiceOver which you may find interesting, is that VoiceOver gives you the best of both worlds. It will use the Mac's trackpad and turn it into a virtual touch screen, laying out the current control or window on the trackpad for you to freely move around, just as you can on an iPhone or iPad screen. It is extremely useful and efficient. You keep eluding, rather cryptically, to these business practices of Apple's that you dislike, but I strongly suspect that you are simply mis-informed, as you were about iTunes. I encourage you to get better informed on the facts before holding so tightly to your views, which seem to be outdated at best. You may find that there are more alternatives out there that are better suited to your needs and wants than you believe. And, FWIW, the Zoom interactive fiction interpreter for Mac is the best IF interpreter I have ever used for any platform in terms of accessibility and usability. The Inform7 mac development environment for writing your own is likewise totally accessible.
