Hi Phil, Well, since this game depends on the completion of the previous mission putting in an impossible mission would make the game impossible to win. <something interesting; in video games, sometimes there is a mission where you have to kill X number of enemies; but then the mission keeps on going until you die; but it is still completing it. For example, say you are defending a space station; the mission starts out where you are flying around and just blowing other ships up. You have to kill 20 ships, then you hear, "great job; evacuation is taking a bit longer then we thought it would; keep it up". Well, just keep on sending out enemies until the player dies, then end the mission with a completion. This example takes in to account that the programmer (Tom) wants to lose this base (for story purposes). The player has to kill 20 ships because it would be too easy to just sit there and get the crap blown out of you if you new you needed to lose the station. DS9 comes to mind> That wouldn't be much fun. As to the enemies who invaded my cargo bay they better take over something more important or the won't last long. I can think of all sorts of nasty ways to clear them out. <GRIN!> First way, call my transporter chief, and order him or her to lock on to the intruders and beam them out in to space. Second way, order the tactical officer to blow the cargo bay doors, and basically vac them out in to space for a nice cold, frozen, cool strole in a never ending no mans land. Third way, order the life support systems to be shut off for that cargo bay. They will get the picture in a hurry. Grin... Fourth way, ask the chief engineer to change the gravity for that section of ship to a level strong enough to flatten the suckers to the deck. Fifth way, order a security team to arm themselves with type phaser rifles and whipe out the invaders. Is that enough options for you? Smile.
