Agreed.  I usually use at least three desks, with just two full height
terminals in each, and have one or two more desks to use in case.  But
sometimes I want a third smaller window for something, and want to
easily keep it off of the buttons.

Yes, that would be a problem.  My windows are usually tall terminal
windows, so my button window is always a tall strip at one end of the
screen.  The struts work well in that case.
