Michael, it's been pointed out to me that my comment was a little harsh--and I had indeed intended to be, other than a firmer "I've nothing more I can say that I've not done already". Unlike the patronising hyperbole I received off-list, I won't patronise you in the same way, other than to note that I can't add anything more to the conversation than what I have already. mdoc seems like the logical choice at the moment, and until such time that it doesn't provide what we need (assume some further change in requirements, for example), then we'll look at alternatives.
