Are you a subscriber?  I hit the pay wall.  I probably can get at these
articles via Clark, but it will involve starting all over again and looking
them from the Clark portal.

The perspective was scolding biologists for nonsense like "selfish genes"
and "books of life", the letters are protesting that there are metaphors
which have more useful content than that sort.

 

So even moneymaking publishing enterprises get sucked into these discussions
now and then,
