You can actually use any format for beta (or any other output). I usually use mgh. To view it on the surface, you can run:

tksurfer average7 lh inflated -overlay beta.mgh (or beta.bhdr)

What version are you using? This should work with any from the last 6 mo.

Hello everybody,

I have some trouble reading bfloat format, as given by the --beta output of
mris_glm. I tried load overlay in tksurfer but a register.dat file seems to be
necessary, can someone help me about how I can visualize the regression
coefficient on the inflate surface?

Thank you very much,
