You are welcome. :-) > > How large of thumb drive is required? Can any unrelated files be on the > thumb drive or does it need to be "clean"? The LiteUSB only needs a 32Mb Flash Drive/USB Stick or larger. The FullUSB needs 1Gb or larger. You do not copy the files onto the flash drive. You extract the ZIP archive and use a compatible tool to write the IMG file to the flash drive. When the image is written to the Flash Drive, all existing files will be erased. Once the image is written to the drive, additional files can be added to it. You should also be able to expand the partition created on the Flash Drive with utilities like GParted. To write the image to the flash drive, once you have identified the drive’s device is, you can use “dd” on Linux, BSD or Mac. Writing the image is a little more complicated under Windows. I am not a Windows user. So, I cannot give you exact instructions for that OS. However if I recall correctly, I think some users favor Rufus for such things. :-) Jerome > > Thanks > > Larry > From: Jerome Shidel via Freedos-user <freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net> > Sent: Thursday, February 27, 2025 11:21 AM > To: FreeDOS Users <freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net> > Cc: jer...@shidel.net <jer...@shidel.net> > Subject: Re: [Freedos-user] Installation Process > > HI, > > > On Feb 27, 2025, at 2:01 PM, Larry Miller via Freedos-user > > <freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net> wrote: > > > > Hi: > > > > I am trying to repurpose a HP Pentium 4 PC (3.4 GHz processor, 2 GB memory, > > originally OS Windows XP).
