Hi: I am trying to repurpose a HP Pentium 4 PC (3.4 GHz processor, 2 GB memory, originally OS Windows XP). Note: the hard drive has been wiped with Drive Scrubber 2.
I downloaded FreeDOS 1.3 Legacy CD. Unzipped the FD13LGCY and burned it to a CD using the disc burning software that comes with Windows 10. It loads on the Pentium PC until this screen "Unable to locate the installation packages: A reboot may help." Tried rebooting, get same message. The Pentium PC is a SFF so it only has a CD/DVD drive. Is the other file FD13BOOT required to install FreeDOS? Appreciate your assistance. Thanks Larry
