I gave you some more options you may be interested in - then to decide which tool is better for which of your aims.
For gaming surely DOS is best option - and it's also very good option for many other aims (just have a look at Vetusware's contents available for you for free). For everything networking-related the other OS-es may be, however, "somewhat" better.
