Additionally, granted I am not sure of our goal, so if the answer here is more helpful I understand. Still wordperfect for dos works with many hp and other laser printers. Equally new drivers are written for wordperfect for dos by a staffer at Columbia University in New York. He even provides wisdom for running wordperfect under 64 bit windows. I am not using freedos though, so am not sure where the issue may be. My dos experience is that if it can find the port to which the printer is attached, no problem. Kare
