Earlier in the thread you mentioned a 13GB disk seen a bit smaller with all things going wrong. This might mean the system has a BIOS harddisk-recognition limitation, usually bugging out partition management. For reference again Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Drive_Overlay Hopefully the system will accept FreeDOS just fine on the harddisk.
