The A20 stuff that Syslinux/Isolinux (and MEMDISK) mess around with, even before loading a DOS kernel. As your driver expects a sane BIOS setting and sane behaviour of the DOS kernel, it's slightly less tolerant/paranoia compared to JEMMEX. This is all at boot-time (config.sys), not runtime (devload xmgr.sys) as no A20/HMA stuff is involved then due to DOS (kernel-)limitations. Think I prepared a floppy image file sometime ago, but downloading that isn't very modem-friendly. Basicly I just have to verify behaviour of different sets of drivers under various systems and emulators. It's a long-term todo item.
