If the controller on these boards doesn't detect a drive attached, then the BIOS for the controller doesn't get installed, so make sure that it's probing the disks correctly when the machine boots, otherwise any OS will be unable to find it. > My greatest fear, however, is that FreeBSD cannot deal with a third IDE > controller.
