I don't think this question is very well suited to the -hackers list but I'll 
spam everyone anyway.

Define what you mean by FreeBSD can't find it? It doesn't find the device? Or 
you don't know how to go about "intializing" a new drive in FreeBSD? (See 
FreeBSD manual section 12.3)

What is the output of dmesg? Did it find the promise controller? Does it see 
any devices attached to it?
