You aren't thinking like an embedded systems developer
trying to sell a box with no moving parts into a telco
that requires such things, with the cost of a 1G flash
sitting at ~$2,600/unit.
You also aren't thinking like a TrustedBSD "Without my
compiler, your executables will have the wrong cryptographic
signatures, and my OS will refuse to run them" wonk...
