Yes Nick,

my propossal could be started by one people, but only to attract community
eyes and get more people involved. The problem here's as you say that is a
"long road", very long..., but for me is the only way to make Flex as the
preferred choice.

Regarding the actual code: I think it will end entering maintenance mode
since the new flex will be simply another code base...
