THANK YOU!!! I used to go crazy trying to explain to Adobe that English (North American) was incorrect as the CA and US branches are somewhat different, not just for the reasons you point below. Most Canadian developers I talked to hated this with a passion. We use the same spelling as the Brits. You just made about 33,000,000 new friends.
Note that we spell words differently too (Check vs Cheque, neighbour vs neighbor). The languages are about 4% different. Canadian SIN and American SIN's have about the same mask (or masque).
