if you could voice your support.

Consider my support voiced. I'd be glad to help with any Linux+Flex
initiatives.

>>For people whose business is selling Flex apps to Linux users, this is of
course very bad news.
>Do such people exist?

Yep, I was one of them. The last company I worked for sold a digital
signage solution. The "player", the device that attached to an LCD screen,
ran Linux and Flex/AIR. We were stuck on AIR 2.6 after Adobe dropped
support for Linux, and since then, the company has gone with a completely
different technology. Using anything other than Linux as the OS for the
player was not feasible, so, as a result, it's no longer Flex on those
thousands of units. Although a smaller percentage, my current company is
also in need of having our AIR apps run on Linux. AIR 2.6, coupled with a
bunch of native code, will probably get me by for a while. Being able to
do my development on Linux (as well as being able to target
iOS/Android/Windows Phone/Blackberry) are the most important things for me
to continue developing with Flex.
