>If linux is important to any more developers out there, it would be good if you could voice your support.
Consider my support voiced. I'd be glad to help with any Linux+Flex initiatives. >>For people whose business is selling Flex apps to Linux users, this is of course very bad news. >Do such people exist? Yep, I was one of them. The last company I worked for sold a digital signage solution. The "player", the device that attached to an LCD screen, ran Linux and Flex/AIR. We were stuck on AIR 2.6 after Adobe dropped support for Linux, and since then, the company has gone with a completely different technology. Using anything other than Linux as the OS for the player was not feasible, so, as a result, it's no longer Flex on those thousands of units. Although a smaller percentage, my current company is also in need of having our AIR apps run on Linux. AIR 2.6, coupled with a bunch of native code, will probably get me by for a while. Being able to do my development on Linux (as well as being able to target iOS/Android/Windows Phone/Blackberry) are the most important things for me to continue developing with Flex.
