I don't think any of this is needed. [1] states that the selected logo will have to be contributed according to the iCLA [2] which is standard for all contributions to the ASF. To have a trace of this contribution, you can ask the owner to create a JIRA issue, attach the logo, and indicate in the issue comments that this is a contribution as per the iCLA.
