We can't dictate what people work on, only what we accept. Honestly though I would stop using the metric of "large enterprise app" followed by "with 300 mxml files". The quantity of mxml files means diddily and confuses the situation. It's been said before if you know how large your app is or how much memory it uses it probably isn't that big at all.
