Hi Doug, I think spark is valid entirely without Fc. For me is one of the greatest inclusions in Flex 4 since it changes the whole point of how to design and program in Flex.
With Spark I removed the Presentation Model away since the AS3 view has all the logic and the MXML represents it. All my code is skin oriented and is really a pleasure. This is one of the things that make flex far away javascript. The only problem with spark right now is that need urgently to have some core components that today are obsolete in MX. DateField, DateChooser, Tree, and so on... Hope it comes quickly as soon as possible since I needed like water! :) 2012/1/10 Doug McCune <d...@dougmccune.com> > The saddest thing to me is how much time and effort went into building an > entirely new (yet still incomplete) component model (Spark) that was built > all around the idea of Catalyst.
