Nevertheless, I don't see, that michael would vote against such an improvement. It just needs lots of work, if done right.
And given all these obvious tensions and power play here on the list, I really hope, that the community will find a more neutral ground to host this kind of more modern source management tools than just using existing VLan infrastructure. That's IMHO simply necessary to minimize the risk of even more destructive interferences and endless fights in the future.
