There was no arbitrary censorship, there was a thread that was for a few hours moderated. ffmpeg-devel is for the development of FFmpeg and one of my mails was rejected too: Your request to the ffmpeg-devel mailing list Posting of your message titled "Re: [FFmpeg-devel] [ANNOUNCE] upcoming vote: CC election" has been rejected by the list moderator. so we are all treated equal here > with no oversight. What does that even mean ? If a discussion goes of the rails and becomes "toxic" the moderator must step in and take action. At worst a mail is delayed or may need to be resent (if really a mistake is made). Iam fairly sure i remember you wanting something to be done about the tone and lack of friendlyness on the ML years ago. more so, half of the current CC candidates where involved in fuelling the previous unfriendly threads. So we cannot even vote for a CC that has 5 members who have not been involved. > Said buddy was > granted moderator privileges for no reason anyone can articulate, sees He is moderator for about as long as FFmpeg existed [...] thx [...] -- Michael GnuPG fingerprint: 9FF2128B147EF6730BADF133611EC787040B0FAB There will always be a question for which you do not know the correct answer.
