First thanks for the above... worked like a charm... second if anyone
else does this there is a hitch.

You keep getting an error
 libgal.so.19 is needed by libgtkhtml20-1.0.4-4mdk

Now the above are both needed by evo 1.0.8  and will get replaced as
soon as you install evo 1.2.1  so I had to do 

rpm -e libgtkhtml20 gtkhtml --nodeps

Then urpmi evolution

And everyting was kosher once again...
