Dense I am... (in my best Yoda voice) This is happening after an install from which point you are unable to boot to anything... Is it also happening after a normal shutdown? I think this is what you are saying... Understand I may not have an answer but if I find out enough info either someone here or maybe someone I know will have seen this before and can help. For the sake of completeness Can you give us a hardware list... Most important is of course is the Mobo and CPU... It could well be a BIOS problem and not an OS one... but there does seem to be a link, from what you are saying. Also have you had to do any special tweaks like Raid cards or Nvidia .... I think we may be treading on new ground with this problem... maybe not.
