Question: Did you use partition magic to partition the drive? Just curious, my girlfriend used PM, installed linux on a WinME-only system, and the table got corrupted pretty quickly for no apparent reason. PM is the only explanation I can come up with, since I have dual-booted Win-xxx and *nix systems for quite some time with no problems but I always make a fresh table from scratch when doing it.
