Here (Athlon 1000mhz) it runs extremely well. I get a working set every eight hours or so, and my machine is mostly otherwise idle during the day. It's getting a good chunk of the CPU - normally it runs at nice 4, so it still gets some cpu even when other things are running. It slows down some things like compiles but not all that much.
