On the subject of Seti@home:
For those of you who have been running it on your Linux box, how well does
it run? Does it suck up a lot of CPU? My setup is 256M of memory with an
AMD K6-2 550MHz on a 100MHz motherboard. I've been running the screensaver
client on my Windows 98 SE box for a LONG time now, and since it only runs
when the screensaver is active, I don't see any performance hit on that
machine.
I've been hesitant to fire it up on my Linux box because it would be a
always-running client, and since I run a number of other things there (and
hope to be running a Neverwinter Nights server on that box, once the $#@!
game is finally released :) So, fellow Seti@home users, what's the verdict
on running it under Linux? :-)
TIA for replies. <grin>
