Thanks for the reply.

I changed the entry as you suggested, but the machine seemed to become
extremely unstable.  The screen would go black and the keyboard would
no longer respond to any input if I tried to ping anything.  Afterwards,
the machine wouldn't answer pings either.  I previously had Debian on
this machine, so I know ne2k-pci works with my NIC.
