your ISP should have supplied to you at least 2 name servers to use. have you put them on /etc/resolv.conf? have you done 'nslookup whateverdomain.com' and get the correct ip for it? can you ping your ISP supplied DNS from that machine? does ifconfig -a give you ips for the cable modem interface? is dhcp client setup so that you can get dynamic ips? just some ideas on how to troubleshoot it. --- Guy R Gauthier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > I've tried everything I can think of to set up this > cable modem.
