IMHO, the sooner we get away from J1772 and all other anti-ev inspired standards, the better. I've used many J1772 to Tesla adapters for about 10 years now and never had a failure. OP mentioned a low price for a mobile connector; I have not seen such a low price. The Wall Connector has been priced at about $500 which is a great value. IMHO.
