Hi Russel, This is Phil from the EVDL. Unless I'm understanding you wrong, I don't think you can use Orion BMS like that. There is no provision for isolation except at 36 cell tap intervals, and you are breaking the pack into 22 and THEN 36. You needed to start at cells 1-36, and then there's a break allowed, and then you'd add in the additional 22. The layout MUST be this way or you'd definitely blow something up in the sense/balance circuitry. It cannot tolerate a large resistance "in the middle". Even if you were very careful with your wiring (hard to do live), Under hard acceleration the voltage drop in the cable from front to rear would likely be high enough to fry it. This is why they built in isolation at every 36 cells.
I suspect you'll need to repair it or send it back, and then re-do your layout and wiring. Also, in my experience they have great support. I'll try to join the Solectria list.
