Of course it's nice to charge at home. However, I think that with EV range
and DC charging rates rapidly increasing, eventually not having a garage or
parking slot where you can charge is going to become less of a problem.

I keep hearing of EV owners in Europe who use nothing but public charging. I
know someone in France who has an EV, and almost never charges it at home.
It's just not necessary when shops offer their customers 7-22kW AC charging
for free. Top off the car while you spend 20-30 minutes in the grocery
store.

New EU EVs typically have 300-400km range, and commutes tend to be shorter.
If your EV has a 50kWh battery and you have access to a 22kW AC or 50-100kW
DC charging point, it's not that big a deal to use public charging.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. English follows
other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes
through their pockets for loose grammar.
