I've been running a box with Caldera Linux since the 1990s or maybe a
bit earlier. It's life role is to keep track of expenses and income of
my farming enterprise. Using dBase3 under dosemu. I haven't succeeded
in migrating to anything else. Each time I look at something else, it
seems easier to stick with dbase. The box has no SSH or USB or other
boot options so backing up is a real challenge. I use it via telnet.
I recently got NFS working for the first time in many years so I am
finally backed up. I need to look at substituting DosBox for dosemu so
I can transfer functionality to a more modern box. Ideas solicited.
I used to keep track of uptime. That box has been above a year several
times.
