Hi Corbin, It probably depends which unit you started with, which brand/model and whether it had already been in service (outdoor exposed to elements, corroding contacts without the regular used that is needed for a relay to get the swiping action that keeps the contacts clean) I had a similar issue with my EV truck (US Electricar) when I bought it and installed batteries, I measured the pack switch at a resistance of 10 mOhm. That does not seem a lot until you realize that at 250A, that means 2.5V and 625 Watts of power in a simple disconnect switch (due to not being used in years), so I opened it and cleaned it and verified that it was below 1mOhm before relying on it in my battery pack. I suspect something similar happened to your AVCON unit, but please give us the details before issuing a sweeping statement that might not have any relation to the unit that I sent to Lee.
