Buddy, I usually recommend the largest 12 v. flooded battery you can fit in the hold-downs, but with your use of the inverter for heating I would suggest the marine deep discharge, they are relatively cheep and come with the usual three year warranty so they usually give four years of good service. Don't use them for drive motor power because they cannot stand the 300 amps discharge rate. If you using, a more than 2.5 KW inverter, then go with the AGM because they can handle that higher discharge rate.
