Dear Claire and others, I agree with Dipodidae that even if we lie to others, it is really important that we are true and honest with ourselves. Its important for us to know, what we expect from ourselves, our life and with others. Life is short. One can't waste it living someone else's life.
Its important to trust our conscience. Sometimes it becomes inevitable to lie. A lie for the benefit of others is better than truth that harms or hurts.
