We are currently testing the new Firefox ESR 78.3.1 and deployed to a small
number of users. We have found for a couple of installs the user now gets the
error message "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRuntime140_1.dll was
not found" when loading Firefox.

We tried removing the install, renaming user profiles and reinstalling but got
the same error.

We downloaded the full non ESR release of Firefox and ran the install but got
the same error.

We checked previous version installs and found that VCRuntime140.dll was in the
install folder and this machine also had this file but it was looking for
VCRuntime140_1.dll.

To resolve the issue we had copy VCRuntime140_1.dll from c:\windows\systems32
to "c:\program files\Mozilla Firefox".

Kind Regards

Hazel Bailey
