Hi Will,
i checked it yesterdays on the users device and in the developer tools I
saw that the dns request took nearly 7 seconds.
X-check on my device, much much faster and same on all other devices in
my office so I have to investigate further.
I don’t think its firefox related in my case.
Regards,
Sascha

My senior management have noticed, so I’ve logged it to get the ball moving.

Hi Sasha,
Did you raise a Bugzilla for this? If so, can I have the link?
Otherwise, I’ll raise one.

Will

Yes, please open a bug so I can get the search team involved.

James is correct. We're seeing slow responses from searches from
the address bar, but not with other connections, so assumed the
assumed the root cause wasn't with Firefox but with our Firewall
(as it manages the internet traffic).
Using the search bar (as you pointed out) doesn't trigger the delay,
so is a good workaround.
Something we've noticed is that searches from the address bar won't
trigger the delay if done immediately after the first search
resolves. Then after a couple of minutes the delay is triggered again.

I'm guessing the workaround is to enable the separate search bar and
not use the URL bar for searches ?
