I'm guessing the workaround is to enable the separate search bar and not
use the URL bar for searches ?

I have some users who are facing a delay if they type some search pattern to
the address bar until their search provider (google is configured) is opened in
Firefox.
they are using the combined address and search bar. It won't happen if they use
the separated address and search bar.
We all are using same FF version 68.5.0 x64 on Windows 10 x64.
I can't reproduce it on my device (takes 3-4 sec if I provide one word and only
1-2 second if provide two or more words). The colleagues have a delay of 10-15
seconds.
I already created a new Firefox profile but the delay is still there.
I know that if you enter only one word that it checks for a website with that
name but it should always use searching if I enter two or more words.
Any hints on that?
