Hi, The templates https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Template https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/Template
could be improved: * "Bugzilla product" is in the Development Resources section, but should be in Getting in Touch, before the link to "File a bug". Because before filing a new bug, users must search the bugzilla before, otherwise there are too many duplicates and it becomes annoying for maintainers. * "File a bug" could be changed as "File a bug or a feature request". But maybe for large projects it is not a good idea because there are too many feature requests that are never implemented and it becomes just noise in the bugzilla (but if the bug is correctly categorized as an enhancement, it's less a problem). * In the News section there could be a link to the project's NEWS file present in Git. * A less important problem: "Tarballs" is in the Development Resources section, but it is not a development resource. The target audience is either users or packagers, but not developers. It should maybe be moved to its own section called Downloads (where other types of downloads can be added, like Windows and Mac OS X binaries). * Projects/Template is mainly used for libraries. For a library we should not confuse the user documentation and the developer/contributor documentation. A link to the API reference should not be in the Development Resources section, but should be at the top instead, in a section called "Documentation" for example. * Last, but not least, some projects don't follow the template. Closing projects.gnome.org and moving the different web sites to the wiki was meant to have more consistency and be able to edit the content more easily and by more people. Christian didn't follow the template for gnome-builder, to have something more appealing for the fundraiser. Then other people have copied that. But the content is harder to edit, it uses some advanced features of MoinMoin. And it is not consistent with other projects pages. Is it because the templates suck? What do you think?
