Any place in the filesystem you have rights to, and room enough. The iso 
is about 1.2GB, installs a bare bones wheezy and an older v2.7.something 
lcnc. You no doubt have your own list of must haves to install via the 
package manager. I'm rather partial to synaptic. Run it as 
synapic-pkexec from your login. It will ask you for your pw to get your 
sudo rights. k3b is a good dvd burner. My place is all wired, stays 
private that way, so you will need to setup your wifi.
