Thy work well and the foot print is very small, so for low power application this allows nice and small PCBs, but I killed a couple of A3977s as well. They don't like the drive to be connected or disconnected while powers up. I was thinking about using my own design, but building one of these boards is more expensive than buying the suggested TB6600 board. Lets hope they work well.
