An old tool setter showed me the following years ago. Drop the holder in and partially tighten, tap holder down and in with hammer to seat it properly then tighten fully. I find doing that it's perfectly repeatable. Use a soft faced hammer :) I always have one lying about on the lathe for tapping centres and chucks in also.
