Hi Steve,

I'm pretty sure that the user directories are kept as I did an uninstall 
once and I believe everything was still there.

Still, just to be safe, I would copy your entire machine setup folder 
off to a USB stick drive for safekeeping.   (probably a good thing to do 
anyway and then file the USB stick drive for safekeeping)

Then do the reinstall.
