I have been doing battle the last few days with Synergy, and I was able
to create a compound curved surface, g-code and cut it on my Shizuoka.

I made headway after I found the directory for the text script files for
the demo animations. I printed them out and wrote notes on keystrokes
and status messages while single stepping through the 3D demos. With
this, I could piece together my own part and g-code. One problem is that
if something isn't in one of the demos, I may not be able to figure it
out. I can, actually see being able to be productive with Synergy. It
will take more time and practice. I started some documentation here:
