I have been doing battle the last few days with Synergy, and I was able to create a compound curved surface, g-code and cut it on my Shizuoka.
http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/Synergy/Screenshot-3b.png I made headway after I found the directory for the text script files for the demo animations. I printed them out and wrote notes on keystrokes and status messages while single stepping through the 3D demos. With this, I could piece together my own part and g-code. One problem is that if something isn't in one of the demos, I may not be able to figure it out. I can, actually see being able to be productive with Synergy. It will take more time and practice. I started some documentation here: http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/Synergy/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/Synergy/files/ , but I still would like to pursue a wiki. -- Kirk Wallace (California, USA http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ Hardinge HNC/EMC CNC lathe, Bridgeport mill conversion, doing XY now, Zubal lathe conversion pending Craftsman AA 109 restoration Shizuoka ST-N/EMC CNC) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
