Now that my Shizuoka is functional, I would like to try making a test
work piece. I would like it to have 3D compound curves, like the Tux
example, but with much higher resolution. I was thinking I could use
Synergy to create the part, but the help system in Synergy is
frustrating for me to use. I will be consulting the documentation in
Synergy, but if anybody has examples, short cuts, advise, I'd
appreciate
getting it. I would like to start a webpage covering the whole Synergy
drawing to G-code process, to make it easier for others trying to
learn
this. I have more spinning plates than I can handle, so I don't
know how
far I can get on this project. If anyone wants to collaborate on this,
that would be a good thing.
I have looked at FreeCAD and like that it is open source:
http://juergen-riegel.net/FreeCAD/Docu/index.php?title=Main_Page
but it looks like it is a long way from being practical for making
dimensioned drawings or G-code. Please let me know if anyone is
actually
using FreeCAD for making real parts. I think development of FreeCAD
should be encouraged. Thanks.
